A live-only social app

Live only.

Home is a living world. Open Kamsie and the first thing you see is the planet, turning, lit by the people awake in it. Come closer and it becomes your city, your neighbourhood, your sixty seconds.

The Globe · demo
Drag it. It turns on its own, too. The cities are a demo; in the app, sparse places collapse into a single anonymous glow, so nobody is ever pinpointed. Sometimes one live person appears here by choice: the Showcase is opt-in, three minutes at a time, showing a name, a colour, and a city, or only a country. Never a neighbourhood. Never a pin.

The laws

No feed.

There is nothing to scroll. When nobody is live, Kamsie says so, and that is the whole screen.

No followers.

No counts, no audience, no one performing for people who are not there. People meet in rooms, or not at all.

No uploads.

The camera is the only way in. Nothing from a gallery, nothing edited, nothing saved up for later.

No audience.

A Drop is a moment shared with the people in it. Sixty minutes later it is gone, for everyone, including us. The one exception is the Keep: if someone in the moment spends their one Keep, it stays for them and its maker, and nobody else.

Live only

How it works

A world, a city,
a minute, a room.

A live Drop on Kamsie: the moment fills the screen in colour, shot on both cameras, with a live timer.

Drops

Sixty seconds, both cameras, gone in an hour.

A Drop is a live minute shot on the spot. Where your phone allows it, the front and back cameras run at once, so people see you and what you are looking at. There is no gallery, no edit, no second take. The hour runs from the moment it starts; end it sooner and it ends sooner. Either way, when the hour is up, it is gone for everyone.

The Kamsie Pulse screen: a quiet map of who is live nearby, with a list of live moments below it.

Pulse · near you

One screen for everyone near you.

Zoom down from the Globe and you land on Pulse, the Drops live across your part of the city. Your position is snapped to the neighbourhood before it ever leaves your phone, never your address, never a pinpoint. When nobody is live, the same screen turns quiet and says so. Quiet is a state here, not an error, and not another place to learn.

Pulse · demo
A demo of the idea. In the app this is Pulse, live.
Inside a Resonance room on Kamsie: five people, a shared timer counting toward five minutes, and a Resonate button that unlocks at 5:00.

Resonance

Rooms matched by energy, not distance.

There are eleven rooms, arranged quiet to loud: In the same room, quietly · Up early · Heads down · Making things · Golden hour · Up late, talking · Kitchen noise · On the move · Watching the game · Dancing in the kitchen · The loud table. Each one says plainly what happens inside it. Rooms carry live text chat too, and the chat dies with the moment, like everything else here. Stay five real minutes and, if you both tap Resonate, you are in each other’s Circle, the only way in. Messages unlock only after thirty live minutes together, so nobody slides into anything.

The Relay on Kamsie: a Drop has just ended, and the next live person is offered with a Take the light button.

The Relay

When your minute ends, the light is still on.

A finished Drop does not have to end the evening. The Relay hands you to the next live person, your Circle first, then your city, so one minute can become a chain of them. Take the light, or rest. The river keeps flowing either way.

Watching a Drop on Kamsie: the people watching appear as coloured rings at the edge of the screen, with no names and no counts.

Watching, together

Company, without names.

When you watch a Drop you are not invisible, and you are not a view count. The people watching appear as colours at the edge of the screen, yours included. No names, no numbers kept. Just the feeling that somebody else is here, watching this second with you.

Not in their Circle? There is a Guest Door. Knock, and the person broadcasting can let you in to watch that one Drop. A knock carries your first name and your colour, and nothing else. Guests can watch and read the room’s chat; they cannot write in it and cannot Keep. When the Drop ends, the knock ends with it and leaves no trace.

The Keep on Kamsie: tonight's Drops with one Keep left to spend before midnight.

The Keep

One a day. Irreversible.

Of everything that vanishes today, you may keep exactly one Drop. Choose like it matters, because it does. Try the gesture below; this page obeys the same law.

Once a day, one Drop becomes the Global Keep: the most-Kept Drop on Earth that day. It is announced to everyone, by name and colour. The film itself is not announced: it stays with the person who made it and the people who Kept it. There is no archive, and nothing here is public forever.

The Kamsie widget on a phone home screen: the rings of your Circle, one lit because Mia is live now. Tap her ring and you are in her Drop.

The widget

Your Circle, on your home screen.

The widget holds your people’s rings, live on your phone’s home screen. When someone in your Circle goes live, their ring lights up, and one tap puts you inside their Drop. No opening the app to check. No checking at all, really.

Try the law

Hold to Keep.

In the app, keeping is a deliberate gesture, a press you hold, not a tap you fat-finger. This demo is bound by the same rule: one Keep per day, and this page remembers.

A Drop, happening now

Golden hour, both cameras

Live for 41 more minutes, then it is gone, like everything else here.

Your Keep for today is unspent.

Every night, somewhere

The Evening Gathering

One open room, every night at 7:00 PM, wherever you are. Whoever shows up, shows up. It is how a quiet map gets its first heartbeat.

Next gathering in --:--:--

Doors open 6:45 PM your time. The room closes at 7:30, and nobody can watch it later.

The Eternal Gathering. It is always 7 PM somewhere on Earth. When your evening is still hours away, you can visit the city where the doors are opening right now and be welcomed in as a guest. The world takes turns being awake.
